California Watersport Collective offers packrafting classes and trips on the South Fork American River in Lotus, California. The Introduction to Whitewater for Packrafters class teaches boat maneuvering, paddle techniques, safety, and reading water, progressing from flat water to Class 2 rapids—ideal for beginners in a 2-day format. The Intermediate-Advanced Whitewater Packrafting class is designed for experienced paddlers, focusing on advanced skills, group dynamics, and decision-making in Class 2 or 3 whitewater, perfect for adventure racers. Full, half-day, overnight, and private experiences are available, blending meandering streams and rushing rapids.
