IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ BEFORE REGISTERING:

Cancellation & Future Credit Policy

We are no longer able to offer refunds at any time for cancellations regardless of the reason. Since spots are extremely limited and creating these clinics and trips require a lot of logistical planning, including instructors, gear, transportation and permits, we must adhere to a strict cancellation policy.

Please read the following carefully:

Clinics and Trips within the United States

  • Clinic and trip payments are non-refundable

Private Custom Group Bookings

  • 50% Deposit is non-refundable
  • Balance is due 30 days prior to start of clinic or trip and is non-refundable

International Trips

  • Deposit is non-refundable
  • Cancellations 120 days or more prior to the trip – 50% credit of total amount paid
  • Cancellations within 119 days of the trip – No refund credit

Refunds are given in the form of credit towards another clinic or trip within the program you are registered for (Saltwater, Whitewater or SUP). Credit must be used within one (1) calendar year from the date of cancellation. Refund credit may not be rolled over into another clinic or trip more than once.

We understand that things can happen, so we highly recommend purchasing insurance in the event you cannot attend your clinic or trip with us.

We do offer future class credit for the following cases:
  • Cali Collective Cancels or Reschedules the Class due to Adverse Conditions – In the case we are unable to operate the class due to the sea state, river levels, air quality, or general conditions that would impact the safety of students, we are able to offer the option to reschedule for a future date or for students to use the amount paid toward the cancelled class in the form of future credit for a class or private lesson within the program you are registered for (Saltwater, Whitewater or SUP). The credit is valid for nine (9) months from the date of cancellation.
  • Student Injury or Illness due to an Accident – If students need to cancel due to injury or illness, please provide the statement from the hospital or urgent care clinic to [email protected] to be offered a credit minus a 20% administrative fee to use towards a future class or private lesson within the program you are registered for (Saltwater, Whitewater or SUP). The credit is valid for one (1) calendar year from the date of cancellation.

For Students Who Are Overscheduled or with Last-Minute Change of Plans – If the student needs to cancel because they double-booked themselves or has a change of plans, we are unable to offer a refund or credit. In this case, we recommend finding a person with the appropriate skills for the class to take over your place.

In Regards to Air Quality Index (AQI)

Due to climate change, the West Coast of the United States is experiencing a higher volume of wildfires resulting in lower air quality due to smoke during the late summer and fall months. If you are booking a clinic during this time, please be advised that smoke due to wildfires may affect the air quality outside around where we have our clinics, classes and trips.

We monitor smoke and wind forecasts carefully and will always make our decision on whether to cancel a trip or clinic based on the health and safety of our guests and staff. If a class is canceled due to smoke/fire, registered participants will receive a credit to be used within nine (9) months of the class cancellation. If a high AQI is predicted during a clinic or trip where airborne particulate matter 2.5 micrometers or smaller (PM2.5) is 151 or greater at the location of the clinic or trip, a participant may cancel their booking within twenty four (24) hours of their booking and receive a full credit to be used within nine (9) months of cancellation. If a participant cancels more than 24 hours before the scheduled clinic or trip, we must adhere to our above cancellation policy, as winds often shift from one day to the next, allowing for clear skies and good air quality. In this case, no credit will be offered.
